It is almost official that the OnePlus 5 is going to have a successor soon, and it seems like the upcoming phone will come with a fantastic camera. Pete Lau, the founder and CEO of OnePlus has just posted an image from his official Twitter handle which might very well be a shot captured by the yet to be announced OnePlus 5T.

While it is true that you can’t judge a camera from a single image, we can’t disagree that the snapshot has an extremely well-balanced dynamic range and perfectly tuned colour output.

OnePlus 5T Specifications

As of now, we don’t have any confirmed information about the specs of the OnePlus 5T. However, according to numerous rumours and speculations, the successor of the OnePlus 5 may come with a 6-inch edge to edge display along with flagship grade hardware.

A leaked teaser of the upcoming phone has indicated that it will have the same dimensions of the OnePlus 5 despite housing a larger 18:9 screen. The fingerprint sensor is going to be moved to the back though.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 5T is expected to pack the proven Snapdragon 835 SoC along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Software-wise, the smartphone shall run Android 8.0 Oreo with Oxygen OS on the top.

Speaking of the optics, the upcoming flagship might pack a 20 MP + 16 MP dual camera setup at the back along with a 20 MP Selfie unit. The OnePlus 5T can also get OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) which is lacked by the OnePlus 5.

The OnePlus 5T will feature similar connectivity options to its predecessors which includes 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, etc. A slightly bigger 3450mAh battery is expected to juice up the upcoming handset.

OnePlus 5T Release Date and Pricing

The OnePlus 5T will reportedly go official on November 20, 2017, and is going to available for purchase soon after. However, OnePlus has not yet confirmed this date and it still remains to be a speculation. Regarding the pricing, the OnePlus 5T might cost the same as the OnePlus 5 costs now. The latter will probably receive a price cut.
