After revealing the dates for its fourth annual PlayStation Experience at E3 back in June, Sony has now confirmed the exact date and time of its presentation and given some hints about what fans can expect to see.
While the experience as a whole will run from Friday December 8 to Sunday December 10, the main presentation will take place on the Friday at 8pm PT (which is 4am GMT and 3pm ACT on the Saturday).
In a recent post on the official PlayStation blog it was confirmed that the opening presentation would be hosted by PlayStation Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden, who will be joined by “special guests” to update fans on already announced games.

Some of the games we know we’re going to be hearing more about include Dreams, the highly-anticipated title from LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule. Dreams was first revealed at E3 2015 but we've been hearing teases about it from as far back as 2013.
It seems we might finally get some answers about where the game is in its development. It’s also been hinted that we’ll get to see more from Sucker Punch’s newly announced Ghosts of Tsushima.
The game was revealed only a few weeks ago at PlayStation’s Paris Games Week showcase but PlayStation Experience is the perfect platform to expand on the trailer that was shown there.
Given that Paris Games Week took place so recently, though, it’s not likely that we should expect any big new reveals at PlayStation Experience.
On the blog post, Sid Shuman replied to a fan stating that Sony is opting for a presentation rather than a showcase as it’s “coming a few weeks off of Paris Games Week” before adding that there would still be “some cool content".
Though the presentation will be streamed online, the rest of the event will be taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. It’s here that fans will be able to get hands on time with pre-release games and attend panel discussions with some of PlayStation’s biggest developers.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale here and Sony has said that it will be revealing more details closer to the time. For those not able to attend, keep an eye on TechRadar where we’ll detail all of the must-see livestreams and where to watch them as the event approaches.
