Samsung has released three of the best phones of the year in the form of the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.
Each comes with a waterproof design, innovative Infinity Display and wireless charging built in plus kick-ass camera equipment too, but there are also a variety of accessories you can buy to improve your time with your phone.
Samsung makes a range of accessories and cases that can help you make the most out of your new phone – or the phone you’re planning to buy very soon – so here’s a look at some of the very best.
Perhaps the most useful accessory is the DEX docking station. You can use this to plug your Galaxy Note 8 or Galaxy S8 in to use it on a full screen monitor and alongside a keyboard and mouse.
It means you can work directly from your phone using apps that scale to the monitor and you won’t need to worry about uploading and downloading all your files from the cloud.
Samsung’s Wireless Convertible Charger allows you to keep your phone on your desk or bedside table and charge it up without having to plug it in.
It’s sat at an angle so you can always see the time and your latest notifications while it’s being pumped full of power using wireless charging. It means you no longer have to fiddle around with that annoying cable, plus it will work with any other device that’s compatible with Qi wireless charging too.
For the times when you’re on the go and you need to have some extra charge for your phone, Samsung also sells its own battery pack. At 5,100mAh it should charge up your Galaxy phone at least once and means you won’t have to worry about your phone dying when you’re on the move.
If you’re planning to buy a Galaxy Note 8, you can rest assured that in the very unlikely chance you lose the S Pen stylus you can also buy another from Samsung for only £39.99.
Plus there are a variety of cases and covers for both phones that will protect your device, but a lot of them add extra features too with innovative designs and different looks to anything else on the market.
For example, there’s the Clear View Standing Cover. You can use this matte cover as an adjustable stand that you can use to prop up your phone and give you the best viewing experience for landscape content.
When the case is closed, it still allows you to swipe for call and music controls too so you can ensure your screen is protected.
Then there’s the LED Cover, which comes in a variety of different colors for each phone and allows you to see notifications without having to open the cover at all.
You can turn off your alarm in the morning or answer a phone call with the LED notifications, making this one of the most useful cases for either phone.
If you’re looking for a case that shows off the great design of the Note 8 and Galaxy S8, you may want to opt for the Clear Cover that is see through. It’s only 0.8mm thick so it won’t make your phone feel chunky.
Or if you’re looking for a premium feel cover there’s the suede-like Alcantara option that’s durable, stain-resistant, and protective and also looks great wrapped around the edges of your phone.
Then the 2Piece cover that is made of two sections connects to the top and bottom of your phone. It won’t protect the center of your device, but this should help the phone if you drop it and will protect all four corners of the device.
Plus if you want to be productive on the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus you’ll find the Keyboard Cover that sits over the top of the screen with a QWERTY option will be perfect for you to type on.
Those with a Galaxy Note 8 that need that extra bit of protection from drops can go for the Protective Standing Cover and anyone who wants a durable protection for their Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus can buy the Soft Touch Cover instead.
You can see all of the accessories and cases for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus on Samsung’s store here or you can look at the same for the Galaxy Note 8 on the same website here.
