Tax-time sales are here again. The end of the financial year is often when retailers try and get rid of aging stock or work overtime to reach sales targets, with the result being massive discounts on a range of products – from cars to home appliances and plenty in between.

• Lenovo 14-inch ThinkPad Yoga 460 Convertible Laptop (from $1,599): Ideal for business and creativity alike, Lenovo’s 14-inch Thinkpad can be a laptop, tablet, or anything in between. • Dell Inspiron 13 5378 2-in-1 laptop ($999): This 13-inch convertible laptop houses a 7th-generation Intel Core i5 processor and comes with 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. It also features a backlit keyboard, an infrared camera for facial recognition and a Full HD touchscreen display. It also happens to be on sale at the Microsoft Store for $999, saving you $400 on the RRP of $1,399.
• Dell XPS 13 Z511203AU 2-in-1 laptop ($2,499): This is the smallest 13-inch 2-in-1 from Dell and it features an QHD+ (3200 x 1800) InfinityEdge display that gives you an almost edge-to-edge screen. It’s powered by an 7th-generation Intel Core i7 CPU and has a 512GB SSD and 16GB RAM. Save $300 on this premium device at the Microsoft Store and get it for $2,499.
• Dell XPS 15 laptop (from $2,599): Dell labels its premium 15-inch XPS laptop as a powerhouse, promising great performance with an InfinityEdge display for sharp images. Powered by a 7th-generation Intel Core i7 CPU, this Windows machine features 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD and a 4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 video card. This mean machine retails at $3,699, but it’s on sale at the Microsoft Store for $3,199, saving you $500 on the RRP. If you don’t need a whopping 1TB of storage, you can opt for the 16GB RAM/512GB SSD version for $2,599, saving you $400.

PC ACCESSORIES

• LG 21.5-inch Full HD LED Monitor ($99): If you’re after a no-fuss, simple solution to basic gaming or office work, or you just need an extra monitor, you can get a Full HD Monitor for mega cheap when you buy from Kogan. The 22M38D uses LED backlighting and a 1080p display and is down from the already cheap $229 to a stellar $99 at Kogan.
• LG 34-inch Ultrawide Full HD IPS Gaming Monitor ($589): If you’re after a monitor for gaming or cinema, then this LG Ultrawide Monitor will surely dazzle. IPS technology for better viewing angles and response times, and a 99-precent coverage of the sRGB colour spectrum make this a steal for $589 at Kogan, down from $849.
• HP OfficeJet 6950 all-in-one printer ($99): Great for home use or the office, this HP printer promises to print up to 2.5 times as many pages if you use HP High-yield ink cartridges, which could prove economical in the long run. Plus it can easily be connected to a handheld device for printing from a smartphone or tablet. Head to JB Hi-Fi and grab it for $99 and save yourself $50 in the bargain.
• HP Envy 4523 all-in-one printer ($49): HP designed this sleek-looking printer for your home with a price tag that won’t scare you away. This all-in-one printer retails for $79, but you can get it for just $49 at JB Hi-Fi and take care of all your printing needs for less.
• Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5050 keyboard ($68): Look after your posture while you work with this wireless keyboard and mouse set from Microsoft. This ergonomically designed set retails for $129.95, but you can save $61.95 when purchasing it from Tandy for just $68.
• Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD ($224): Increase you computer's memory storage with Samsung's 850 EVO 500GB solid-state drive to enhance boot-ups and responsiveness. Plus you get to save $85 at Kogan – the SSD is now $224, down from $309.

SMARTPHONES, TABLETS & ACCESSORIES

• Apple iPhone 7 (from $919): Kogan can save you money on Apple’s latest flagship phones. You don’t need to shell out $1,079 for the 32GB model of the iPhone 7 as you can lay your hands on it for $919, or alternatively pay just $999 for the 128GB version. They’re also available in all colours (except the new red option) – Jet Black, Black, Rose Gold, Gold and Silver.
• Huawei Mate 9 ($749): This a phablet boasts a robust build, an impressive camera, powerful processor and great battery life. It also comes with a premium price tag of $999, but you can save $249 by getting the gold model from Tandy for $764. If you'd prefer a different colour, the white version is also available for the same price.
• Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime ($300.87): This 5.5-inch handset doesn’t compare to its Galaxy S8 counterpart, but it does feature a fingerprint scanner on the home button and a power-saving mode to help conserve battery life when you need it the most. There’s 32GB of onboard storage and 3GB RAM, plus a microSD slot that can support up to 256GB. It retails for $499, but you can save nearly $200 on it by getting it from T-Dimension for just over $300. Keep in mind that this could be an international model, so make sure you’ll be able to use it in Australia before finalising the purchase.
• Sony Xperia XZ ($679): This premium handset from Sony offers pretty much everything you’d expect from a flagship phone, plus it isn’t afraid of a bit of water. This 5.2-inch smartphone features a Full HD curved display and 32GB of onboard storage with the option of increasing it to 256GB via a microSD card. And you can save $220 on this phone at Tandy, where it’s on sale for $679.
• Samsung Tab A 10.1 ($299): The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes with a 10-inch screen running at a 1920 x 1200 resolution, as well as having a capable Exynos 7870 mid-range processor and 3GB of RAM packed inside – great for streaming videos and being entertained while on the go. Plus you can save $150 on this Android 6.0 Marshmallow-toting device by getting it from Kogan for just $299. That’s down from $449.
• Samsung tablet sale (from $348.40): Get 20% off on a range of Samsung Galaxy Tabs at JB Hi-Fi, including the 64GB 9.7-inch Tab S2. This sale is part of the retailer’s tax time sale and the offer ends 11 June.
• Samsung Fast Charging wireless stand ($69): Samsung’s Fast Charge wireless pad outputs at up to 9 volts 1 amp, for 9W of power rather than the usual 5W. Samsung says it'll charge your phone from flat in 120 minutes. So if your handset is a Qi charging-enabled device, you can forget cables to add some juice to your phone. It’s available for $69 on Kogan, saving you $50 on the RRP of $119.

• Xbox One S, Fallout 4, Forza Horizon 3 Bundle ($269): This is the best price we've seen on the Xbox One S console, and with two awesome included games alongside 3 months of the Stan streaming service, this is definitely worth getting. Grab it from Big W for $269 and save over $130.
• Yamaha TSX-B15 Bluetooth Speaker - Red ($49): This Bluetooth Speaker from Yamaha is certainly unique, perfect for bedside tables as an alarm clock and even has a USB port to charge your smartphone. You can save $100 by shopping at Catch.com, bringing the Speaker down to a mere $49.
• Klipsch Reference R-10 Soundbar with 250W Wireless Subwoofer ($499): Complete your home cinema with the mega stylish and powerfully immersive Reference system from Klipsch. You can get this package from Kogan for just $499 instead of the regular $1,249.
• Sony On-Ear Noise-Cancelling Headphones ($48): Get yourself some decent noise-cancelling headphones for mega cheap from Kogan with the MDRZX100NC from Sony. Reduced from $129.95 to $48, you won’t find better value for noise cancelling.
• Sennheiser Urbanite On-Ear headphones ($99): Known for its exceptional sound quality, Sennheiser has made a name for itself in the audio realm and these headphones also come with some nifty features such as an inline remote. Nab a pair of Black or Denim Urbanite headphones from Kogan and enjoy the premium sound in style, reduced from $225 to $99.
• Philips 27-inch Full HD Business Monitor with Speakers ($299): If you’re after a simple monitor solution for your office or home, then this monitor from Philips is sleek and simple. Slim bezels and LowBlue mode make for comfortable long sessions. Grab this display reduced from $533.95 to $299 at Kogan.
• Hisense 50-inch Full HD LED Smart TV ($720): A vibrant and stylish 50-inch Smart TV rarely dips this low in price, but thanks to a sale on Bing Lee’s eBay store as well as eBay’s sitewide 10% discount, you can nab a decent saving. • Xbox One games - Halo 5, Fallout 4, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst ($17.10): Thanks to a sale on Microsoft’s eBay store, as well as a 10-percent discount on eBay purchases storewide, you can get some seriously great titles mega cheap. Grab Halo 5 or Fallout 4 for $35.10, or Mirror’s Edge Catalyst for $17.10 through the eBay store. Just remember to enter CLAP10 at checkout for the extra 10% discount.
• LG OLED55C7T 55-inch OLED TV ($3,448): The age of OLED TVs is here, that promise the perfect blacks and whirl of colours. This 55-inch 4K OLED smart TV comes with Active HDR with Dolby Vision and Dolby Sound. So grab this telly from VideoPro for $3,448 and save over $600, plus get a bonus three-month Netflix subscription plan thrown in as well.
• Panasonic TH-65EX600A 65-inch UHD HDR smart TV ($2,696): Featuring Panasonic’s 4K Hexa Chrome Drive technology that promises to deliver excellent picture quality, this 65-inch telly can be set up in four different ways, thanks to its adjustable pedestal. Plus you can save $300 on the upgrade to a brand-new TV by grabbing it during JB Hi-Fi’s tax-time sale, where it’s now available for $2,696. This offer ends 14 June.
• LG 55UJ752T 55-inch Super UHD smart TV (from $2,050): Don’t have the space for the 65-inch Panasonic mentioned earlier? This 55-inch LG smart TV features a 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 resolution display that promises to bring your entertainment to life in your living room. Plus there’s Active HDR with Dolby Vision and Harman Kardon sound to finish off the package. It usually retails between $2,500 and $2,900, but you can save plenty when you get it from Appliance Central for just $2,050. If they run out of stock, head to JB Hi-Fi, where it’s available for $2,198, with a bonus $100 JB Hi-Fi coupon and three months of the premium Netflix plan thrown in for free. • Audio-Technica QuietPoint Active noise-cancelling headphones ($109): These cans from Audio-Technica promise to reduce ambient noise by up to 87% and features a detachable cable if you want to go wireless. The headphones retail for up to $159 apiece, but you can currently score a pair from Rubber Monkey for just $109.

CAMERAS & ACCESSORIES

• GoPro Hero5 Session ($399): The Hero5 Session is GoPro’s smallest camera, but it’s capable of shooting stabilised 4K videos and features a variety of new field of view modes. It usually retails for anywhere between $420 and $460 at the major retailers, but it’s now available for $399 at the Digital Camera Warehouse.
• GoPro Hero5 Black ($479): The GoPro Hero5 Black is a sturdy little camera that shoots 4K videos at 30fps and 12MP still images. If you’d like to record your next surfing adventure or your mountain biking trip, you can get it from the Digital Camera Warehouse for just $479, down from $539, and keep some of the fun and frolic saved for posterity’s sake.

HOME APPLIANCES

• LG GB450UPLE 450L bottom-mount fridge ($798): Keep food fresh for the whole family in this 450L fridge with a dark graphite body and save $100 as well. It’s on sale at JB Hi-Fi for $798, down from $898. Sale ends 14 June.
• Haier HWT80AW1 8kg top-load washing machine ($467): Anyone with a bad back knows the value of a top-loading washing machine. And this 8kg capacity washer from Haier comes with a budget RRP of $594, but there’s a tax-time saving of $127 on this machine at JB Hi-Fi until 14 June. Get it now for just $467.
• KitchenAid KSM156 Platinum stand mixer ($549): Sate the gourmand in you and whip up some scrumptious delicacies with KitchenAid’s premium stand mixer which is usually priced at $899. But you can save $350 when purchasing it from Kogan for $549. The mixer is available in Plumberry and Toffee colours, with a bonus pair of muffin pans and free shipping thrown into the mix.
• KitchenAid KES0504 Nespresso machine ($499): KitchenAid and Nespresso have teamed up to create a stylish coffee machine that takes less than 30 seconds to heat up and features six pre-programmed settings. It retails for $799, but at Kogan’s EOFY sale, you can get it in Onyx Black, Medallion Silver or Almond Cream for $499, saving $300.

• Portable GPS units (from $95.20): It that time of year when car sales abound, with huge savings to be had. If you’re planning to upgrade your ride, you might want to consider getting a GPS unit to help you find your way. Until 14 June at JB Hi-Fi, you can score 20% off on a range of Navman and TomTom navigation devices, that includes one premium GPS unit for a motorbike.
